How to Automate Low Power Mode on iPhone using the Shortcut App

iOS has a built-in feature called Low Power Mode that helps extend the battery life on your iPhone. When your battery level drops below 20%, iOS prompts you to enable Low Power Mode. This feature works by disabling background activities like auto-updates, auto-downloads, and other non-essential functions that consume power.

Low Power Mode was introduced in iOS 9 and has been a noteworthy feature ever since. It significantly reduces power consumption by limiting background activity such as app refresh, downloads, and mail fetch.

Once Low Power Mode is enabled, it remains active until your iPhone has a sufficient battery level, which is typically around 80%. However, what if you want to automate Low Power Mode to activate at a specific battery level? Luckily, there is a hack to get it done, and we’ll guide you through it.

In this hands-on guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to automate Low Power Mode on your iPhone. By setting a desired battery percentage, you can ensure that your iPhone conserves battery life and lasts longer between charges.
