Google keeps adding new features to its products every now and then. And YouTube is one of the biggest products of the tech giant, there is nothing to surprise that it is also getting constant updates and the addition of new features. The company introduced a new feature back in October 2021 where there was the addition of a graph showing the most replayed or viewed parts of the video. Since its announcement, it looks like now, in May 2022, the feature is being rolled out to a wider general userbase.

But since YouTube has users from almost all over the world, the newly added feature may or may not be appreciated. And for those who are not so happy with the addition of the most replayed/viewed playback graph in the YouTube video progress bar, there is a workaround that you can use to disable it. Let’s see how you can do this.

How To Disable Most Replay YouTube Playback Progress Bar Graph

The process of removing the Most Replay YouTube graph will require installing a 3rd-party adblocking extension like uBlock Origin, AdblockPlus, etc. that supports filtering, and then we’ll be adding a filter to get rid of the most replay youtube graph on the playback progress bar. Here’s a step by step guide to do so:

Step 1: Go to uBlock Origin and download its extension by clicking on the Get uBlock Origin button. This will bring you to the uBlock Origin’s Chrome Web Store page from where you can install the extension by clicking on the Add to Chrome button.

Step 2: After adding the uBlock Origin extension, click on it and go to its settings by clicking on the Gear icon.

Step 3: On the settings page, switch to the My filters tab and enter the following filter in the text area:

Step 4: Finally, click on the Apply changes button to apply the filter in uBlock Origin.

Once done, you are good to go to use YouTube with no Most Replayed Playback graph on your YouTube video’s timeline.

Bottom Line

That’s it for this brief fixing guide and I am hoping that this will help you in making your YouTube viewing experience a bit better. Surprisingly there are so many YouTube users who are not happy with this Most Replayed feature and are seeking to somehow revert back to the old viewing experience with no such feature. Many of the viewers are saying that this graph just runs the suspense of the video, making it a not-so-liked feature. What do you think about this feature? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Any way for this to work on Firefox?

    1. uBlock Origin addon is also available for Firefox and you can follow the same steps to get it working on Firefox as well.

  2. It works perfectly with Adblock plus too. Thank you very much!
