Bethesda Studios have recently launched the Anniversary Edition of its popular The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game. If you have not heard of this game then you must be far from the world of gaming. This 2011 title stays in the limelight and is often considered one of the best games of all time. The newly released Anniversary Edition includes the expansion packs Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Heartfire along with the copy of the games Special Edition. On top of that, there are also 74 creation Club mods among with 48 are available ones and 26 are unreleased ones. This makes the game have 500+ discrete gameplay elements. The players are allowed to update the game so that they can have the newly launched Anniversary Edition of it. But it seems like the ESO V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is not so well-going for PS4 users.

There are a good number of PS4 users who are reporting that after updating Skyrim to the Anniversary Edition, there is a bug, saying there is 0kb of storage space available on their console. This issue continues to appear even if the users redownload the game and free up space. If you are also facing the same issue on your PS4 console, then this fixing guide can be a useful place for you. Here I am going to discuss some of the fixes and workarounds to the 0kb bug in Skyrim on PS4.

Fix 0kb bug in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on PS4

Fix 1: Delete the Newest Save

This workaround has been shared by the Skyrim users as well as by Bethesda Studios. The workaround says that try deleting the newest save file. Be it an autosave, manual save or quicksave file, delete the newest save file that you see. This workaround is based on the assumption that the save file of the game is corrupted and is causing the 0kb bug. To delete the newest save on PS4:

  • Open settings from the PlayStation Dynamic Menu.
  • Select Application Saved Data Management.
  • Now, go to Saved Data in either System Storage, Online Storage, or USB Storage. It depends on where you have stored your recent save.
  • Click on Delete
  • Select ESO V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition from the list of games.
  • Check the box next to the games Save Data.
  • Click on Delete and confirm the deletion by clicking on OK.

Fix 2: Delete older/rarely used characters

There can be a possibility that the error is just because you have a lot of saved character files. Hence the issue might be nothing more than simply not having enough Skyrim memory. With that being said, the Skyrim users have reported that deleting the older characters that they never play with or play occasionally will free up space in Skyrim. Make sure to fully delete the characters and to do this you will have to delete all saved with the characters’ names on them. That means all the auto, manual and quicksaves.

Fix 3: Limit the use of mods

There is a very high chance that the 0kb issue is occurring due to the heavy modding of the game. Hence if you are playing Skyrim with too many mods, you should consider limiting the use of mods and should remove the unused ones. This will take a little bit of time to do so. Firstly, you will need to uninstall the game, then re-install it. And this time select to install selected mods that you require. You can stay limited to just using Creation Club mods and other selected mods that you use a lot. In short, you just have to reduce the number of mods that you use in Skyrim.

Bottom Line

So, these were the workarounds that have been shared by the actual ESO V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition players have shared and confirmed to have been working for them so far. You can try using these workarounds to eliminate the 0kb bug in Skyrim on PS4. This issue has been acknowledged by Bethesda Studios and hopefully, there will be an official fix for this soon. But in the meantime, you will have to rely on the workarounds. If none of the workarounds works in your case, then the only option is to keep an eye on the next update of the game or you can try contacting Bethesda Support for an official resolution of the issue.

  1. I have deleted all saved game data and the
Game still has problems. How can I delete skyrim anniversary completely.

    1. Yes you can choose not to have the Skyrim Anniversary Edition activated will this help fix the 0kb issue I don’t know but you can try it and what you do is delete your Skyrim and then redownload it but then do not download The Anniversary Edition this is what I’m planning to do and if they have a update fix in the future then that would be great but in the meantime I might choose to not have the Anniversary Edition on and hope that it works let me know if this works for you cuz then everyone could try it

  2. Adding to my comment if it helps I would also make sure to delete saves that was connected to CC content on all of your created characters especially like if you were in a town and you got a letter from a character those saves or a save where your character is standing at a cc content house cuz I would imagine if you don’t delete that that also might mess something up

  3. To go along with my other two comments if you had already purchased Anniversary Edition it will say thank you for getting this and you’ll only have the option to download it not leave the screen from that and not download it so what you have to do is go and click on creation Club and you have to manually remove all of the Creation Club mods that was downloaded make sure you don’t miss any of them and that’s how you actually remove anniversary edition of course it’ll be still be known that you have anniversary edition just the content from Creation Club will be gone that’s the only way to remove it
