The Facebook marketplace is a place on Facebook where people can discover, buy and sell items. You can browse the list of items, search for items for sale in your area or find products available for delivery.
Facebook Marketplace was introduced in October 2016, Before the introduction of this feature, Facebook users bought and sold things on buy-and-sell Facebook groups. This feature was designed based for the same purpose but with options to list items for sale, search for items to buy, and mark items as sold.
Why can’t I see messages from Marketplace in Messenger?
You can’t see messages from Marketplace on the Messenger app because the Marketplace chat has moved or you might have accidentally archived your chat.
Messenger has pushed multiple updates throughout the years and some updates changed the location of the Marketplace chat. Generally, you can access it via your Chats under Marketplace. For some users, the Marketplace chat can be accessed by clicking on your profile picture, then Marketplace.
