Step 1: Open the Steam app on your PC and go to Settings by clicking on the Steam option in the top left of the window.
Step 2: On the Settings page, switch to the Controller option from the left pane.
Step 3: Now, in the right pane, locate and click on the GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS button.
Step 4: This will open up a new Controller Settings screen on your PC. Here, checkmark the Xbox Configuration Support option.
Step 5: This will further open two options below it:
- Xbox Extended Feature Support, and
- Update Xbox Feature Driver.
After ensuring that the Xbox Extended Feature Support option is also check-marked, click on the Update Xbox Feature Driver option.
Step 6: Doing so will open a popup window asking for the PC to restart. Simply click on the RESTART button to do so.
Once the PC is restarted, launch the Steam app and you should not see the Xbox Driver Installation notification popup from this time onwards.
